"Every piece of music has an arc: a beginning middle and end. Some music has no pulsating groove, yet the flow of forward motion can be felt. Other music has a strong danceable groove. Much of the music that I play has a groove but the groove can be quite elastic and impressionistic, the groove ebbs and flows. I can see that impressionistic arc of the groove in this piece."
